WINTER MOUNTAIN

Deep in the French Alps in the winter months, this mountain side was like a piece of art laid out on the ice before me. The absence of colour and every plant anchored into the soft snow seemed to tell a story of its slow-moving life. Somehow this shot really captures Winter a combination of harshess and beauty.
